The doctoral program in Fine Arts with majors in Art, Music, or Theatre is administered by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
Admission to the Fine Arts Doctoral Program is a dual-pronged process. Interested students must apply both to the Graduate School and to the department or school in which the student wants to study. Admission is based on meeting the requirements of the Graduate School as to prior academic record and GRE scores, obtaining the school or departmental recommendation, and meeting the approval of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Graduate Committee (based upon unit recommendation).
To obtain program application forms, please see information listed under each unit’s contact. Should you have other questions about the program, contact the Director, Fine Arts Doctoral Program, who thanks you for your interest in Texas Tech’s one-of-a-kind graduate study program.
